Expansive bowls, vases and tall standing forms thrown on the wheel using fine white porcelain. Vessels are decorated with textural surfaces inspired by rock faces and geological features observed on Highland mountain ranges and seascapes. Carved crevices, crackles and worn surfaces add visual and tactile interest to the pots creating a feeling of rightness in the imperfect. Relief is built up with multiple layers of porcelain slip then eroded back allowing organic patterning to emerge.
