Tessa Wolfe Murray
White earthenware slab-built and slip cast vessels, wall pieces and ceramic jewellery fired to 1140 degrees centigrade. Decorated with slips, glazes and incised lines on surfaces that have been textured, impressed or smoke fired.
Inspiration for the surface decoration comes from drawing and photographing whilst travelling through land and seascapes and urban decay. Museum artefacts influence the shapes and contours.
