Pippa Hill
I grew up in the country side surrounded by animals. the first clay I ever used was dug up from a ploughed field when I was about seven, of course everything I made then eventually fell to pieces.
I started making animals for my living in 2003.
I mostly make British wildlife, but am happy to do commissions for more exotic species and pets.
my work is hand built, using stoneware clays, coloured with slips, oxides and glazes. Reduction fired to 1260 c in a gas kiln
