Faye Mayo

The exterior of Faye’s pieces have a sense of fragility, delicacy and being only temporary. Ripples, fingerprints, kneaded clay – the marks of the making process – remain intentionally visible. Delicate imprints of nature and harsh marks refer to life’s experiences. Yet Faye’s intention is to draw the gaze of the viewer to the blue hues of the interior, hinting at the possibility of inner renewal.

After her degree from Goldsmiths’ College, Faye now makes for galleries from her Surrey studio.
