Jillian Riley

Inspired by a love of corvids, entomology, and Nordic traditions I have created a collection of bottles and vessels with a twist.
I take old poison, apothecary and scientific vessels, slip cast them in porcelain and parian clay, or
create more organic shapes, sculpted in stoneware.

Using a limited colour palette, pieces are decorated with oxides and underglazes providing
a canvas for pen & ink illustrations, text & maps or become more sculptural with birds,
animals and flora of wild land
