I make wheel thrown porcelain domestic ware decorated with textural accents. The textured surfaces are often inspired by repeated patterns found in the natural world such as grasses and other plant forms. Pieces can be mixed to form collections that interplay between colour and form. Using a natural palette of colours, I aim for a body of work that is functional with a quiet indulgence. My work lies in the tradition of English slipware but is contemporary in approach.
