I am still exploring a more relaxed approach to throwing functional ware. I’ve started with simplistic contemporary forms and explored the interaction between mark making and additions to the to the clay body. I have found that using a predominantly simple white ash glaze draws out the nature of the body and the mark making. I like to find an unplanned connection between several finished pieces to make a set, using wood or ceramic stands. I find my work changing and evolving month by month.
