Jonathon Cox

I use the medium of clay as a canvas just as a painter would do. This gives me an opportunity to express my long-held interest in the natural world. The shapes I make evolve from folding white earthenware clay to create vessels varying in sizes and also press moulding clay into asymmetrical shapes. I create botanical themed work or abstract designs painted with metallic lustres and fired in reduction.
