Lisa Biris creates mostly sculptural pieces out of porcelain and stoneware which are inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature. All objects are based on three principles: texture, contrast and movement. Her process of creation is organic and seldom pre-planned; this instills the pieces with a natural organic feeling as if a piece might have naturally grown into the end result instead of being manmade.
