Joely Clinkard

Vivid, energetic ceramics that use clay as a canvas to tell stories of the city. Photogenic and drawings evolve via collage into colours, shapes and motifs within the work which reflect my inspiration from aspects of ecology & landscapes in our urban environment. My hand painted surface designs echo imagery from architecture, nature and art that adorns city streets, creating work which is a portrait of the city and the energy of the people within it.
