Brigitte Colleaux
I make pots intended for serving and cooking food and wood fire them at the Kigbeare Kiln in Devon.
My white glazes are made out of local wood ashes. Slate sourced from Ardennes in France makes my tenmoku glaze and my blue celadon type glaze.
Forms are kept simple to focus the attention on the glazes. My ideas and inspiration are diverse but very often, they stem from the landscape around me. As for the use of Ardennes slate, I feel that I am keeping an intimate connection with my roots.
