Anne-Marie Jacobs
Jacobs’ work is caused by her fascination with the Essex salt marsh. The feelings of strength, fragility, wildness and restriction are present in the landscape. With this unapologetically decorative work she adds to those things a sense of preciousness and balance, which come from the human experience of the marshland. Jacobs’ pieces are slip cast, glazed, white earthenware sculptural vessels.
