Tony Laverick

I was born in Sunderland in 1961. I trained in Studio ceramics at Preston Polytechnic from 1981-84 and gained a Distinction from the Society of Designer Craftsmen. I worked in the ceramic industry in Stoke-on-Trent including Coalport China from 1986-88 as a designer. I set up my own studio near Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands in 1988 and have worked there as a full-time professional ceramic artist since then. I sell my work in the UK, Europe and the USA both directly to the public at selected ceramic shows and through exhibitions in galleries.
In 2014, I was made a Fellow Member of the Craft Potter’s Association and in 2015, I was selected to be a member of Contemporary Applied Arts.
