Fascinated by the Moon, compelled to coil clay & to explore the possibilities of colouring with glaze & smoke. My aim is to make pots to bring joy & pleasure to those who see them.
Using handbuilding techniques, I make Moon Jars, which I decorate by layering glazes using sponges & silicone brushes. I use a small palette of blue, green, red & white. Once glaze fired, they are smoke fired to accentuate the crackle and to give smoky tones to the naked areas of clay on the pots. I also raku fire.
